Ignite Trade Africa would like to invite you to the Youth For SDGs Forum on 10th August 2018 in Nairobi. Ignite Trade Africa is a business development and marketing consulting firm whose aim is to Promote Inclusive Trade for Sustainable Development.

The main aim of the forum is to mobilize and activate the power of young people to drive the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Africa.

The forum will provide an open and inclusive platform for young people in Africa, SDG Achievers, African Governments, Development Partners and the private sector to dialogue and address pertinent issues affecting the youth. Gathering about 100 youths in Kenya, the program is packed with youth engaging presentations and activities aimed at creating a call to action among the delegates as part of the path to achieving the sustainable development goals agenda.

Our model for the one day forum is based on the fact that the youth play a critical role in the growth of developing economies and are key to the successful implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The programme will entail plenary discussions, and speaking sessions featuring high profile speakers and leaders with knowledge and passion for Africa.

Topics discussed will include;

• How to engage the youth as the drivers for the SDGs
• Leveraging social entrepreneurship to curb unemployment
• Innovative Volunteerism
• Sustaining disruptive innovation

 A youthful population is like a double edged-sword; it could be channelled into a dividend for economic and social transformation with the right investment or it could explode into violent conflict with devastating consequences.

With Africa’s youthful population, Africa is at a ‘tipping point’. What our leaders do going forward will ultimately decide the future of the continent.

By constructively engaging Youth in the sustainability agenda, we will achieve the rallying call of “Leave No One Behind”.
