Background to the Trade Mission:
Ignite Trade Africa collaborated with the Organization of Women in International Trade (OWIT) in Nigeria to organize an Inbound Mission from Nigeria to Kenya which took place on 1st to 7th September 2019.
This trade mission was organised with the understanding that to enhance the existing bilateral cooperation and promote trade between the Republic of Kenya and the Federal Republic of Nigeria, there need to be initiatives undertaken by stakeholders in both countries to improve trade & investment. At Ignite Trade Africa, we believe that there is a need for an objective and development – oriented approach to specifically drive trade amongst the MSME segment.

In the lead up to the International Youth Day on 12th August 2018, Ignite Trade Africa, organized a forum dubbed “Youth Engagement For SDGs” that was held at the United States International University(USIU)- Africa, Nairobi on 10th August 2018. This initiative was designed to mobilize and activate the power of young people to drive the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Africa. The theme of this forum was “Creating Safe Spaces for Engagement of Youth Enterprises for the Implementation of SDGs”. Our chief guest being Dr. Manu Chandaria.

The Workshop on Sustainable Agriculture took place in Nairobi County on 25th January 2018.
The main objective for this workshop was to equip SMEs with knowledge in order to enhance profitability and growth performance of SMEs by combining and transferring new and existing knowledge into innovative, disruptive and competitive solutions thus seizing regional and international markets opportunities.
The one day workshop was a highly interactive and hands-on training that has been designed specifically discuss the following topics in agribusiness; value-added agriculture, marketing & globalization, scaling up access to finances for agricultural SMEs and adopting innovation & technology in agribusiness.

The Digital Marketing Training will took place in Nairobi, on 12th May 2017.
This workshop/training session was for executives working in marketing, advertising, communications, sales, IT professionals looking to expand into a marketing role, or anyone who is responsible for developing a digital media or social media plan for their organization.
This workshop and coaching session primarily focused on equipping businesses with the skills and support that they require in order make their brand known all across cyberspace.
